Allegra Wong lives in Boston, Massachusetts. Her first book of poems, A Pure Bead, will be published by Del Sol Press in early 2007. She is currently completing her second book-length poetry manuscript. Her poems have appeared in Passages North, Perihelion, Harvard Scriptorium, Paragraph, Oyster Boy Review, 3rd Bed,and Enskyment—an anthology of previously published poems. Her non-fiction has appeared in Agni Online.

Allegra has a B.A. in English from Wheaton College (Norton), and she has done extensive graduate work in English and American language and literature at Harvard University. In the mid-1990's, she was a pioneer in the online teaching field with ReadingWrite, an Internet venture created by her son who is now a multimedia entrepreneur in New York City.
