Marcella Pixley's most recent work has been featured in Prairie Schooner, Feminist Studies, Poet Lore, Lilith Magazine, and Sow's Ear Poetry Review. She was a finalist for the Bread Loaf School of English prize for poetry and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Marcella's first novel has been accepted for publication by Farrar Straus and Giroux. She teaches 8th grade Language Arts at Carlisle Public Schools.
