Melissa Apperson has published poems in a number of literary journals, including Barrow Street, Salamander, Hampden-Sydney Poetry Review, River Oak Review and Green Hills Literary Lantern. Her poem “Walden” is part of the text of a musical work by the American composer Libby Larsen that was commissioned by the Concord Women’s Chorus to mark its 50th anniversary.
