Sarah Getty : In July of 2006 (July 4 - 14)

Sarah Getty will lead a poetry workshop to be held at the Villa Virgiliana in Naples, Italy. The aim is to connect poets with their own creativity and with the art and history of the classical world. In addition to supportive workshop sessions, the program will include scholar-led excursions to ancient archeological sites at Cumae, Baia, Naples, Herculaneum and Pompeii. The Villa captures the atmosphere of a more elegant era and offers superb, authentic Italian cuisine. The cost for the entire program, including nine nights at the Villa, all transportation within Italy, and all meals except those during excursions, is $1,545.
